Pakistan Gemstone and Mineral Association Delegation Meets Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan

Today, a high-level delegation of the Pakistan Gemstone and Mineral Association, led by its Chairman, held an important meeting with the Chief Secretary. On this occasion, the Association welcomed the Chief Secretary on his arrival in Gilgit-Baltistan and conveyed its best wishes.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary Minerals and the Director Minerals. During the session, the Association provided a detailed briefing on the issues, obstacles, and challenges faced by the minerals sector.

The Chief Secretary listened carefully to the concerns and recommendations presented by the Association and directed the Secretary Minerals to maintain close coordination with the Association and develop a comprehensive and effective strategy for resolving long-standing issues. He also emphasized the importance of establishing strong and positive relations between the Department and the Association to ensure the growth and development of the sector.

Furthermore, it was decided that regular meetings, chaired by the Chief Secretary, will be held every two months to review progress and accelerate the resolution of outstanding issues.

This meeting is being regarded as an important step forward toward improving the minerals sector and strengthening institutional coordination.
